We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards, and online payment platforms.

No, all fees are clearly outlined in our tuition structure.

Yes! We offer scholarships and financial aid based on merit and need.

FOOTBALL RELATED INFORMATION

For which Italian club and league will I be playing?

In the first few weeks of the program, each player will participate in tryouts with different local clubs. Based on the player’s preferences and the evaluation from the clubs, each player will be placed accordingly, ensuring a good fit between the player and the team.

Is club placement guaranteed 100%?

Yes, club placement is guaranteed. We have partnerships with every football club in Genoa, across all levels, ensuring each player is placed with a suitable team.

What levels and leagues are available for players?

Players have the opportunity to join U-19 teams, ranging from the top U-19 league, Serie A-19, which is the highest youth level, to local U-19 leagues. Additionally, players can be placed directly with senior teams, including semi-professional Serie D, Eccellenza (5th division), or Promozione (6th division) teams

How do the club team trainings complement the YWC training sessions?

The club team trainings and YWC sessions are complementary. YWC focuses on individual player development, working on specific areas for improvement through small group sessions or individual lessons. On the other hand, club team trainings emphasize team dynamics, strategies, and collective gameplay, ensuring a well-rounded football experience.

Who are the coaches, and what is their background?

The YWC coaches are highly qualified professionals with extensive experience in football coaching at various levels. They include former professional players, certified coaches, and experts who have worked with top clubs in Italy and internationally. Their background ensures that each player receives top-tier training and guidance to enhance their skills and development

Will players participate in league matches with their respective club teams?

Yes, players will be fully integrated into their respective club teams and will participate in league matches as official members of the squad.

What type of training is offered with YWC?

YWC offers specialized football training with a focus on key areas for player development. The focus areas include:

Football-specific strength
Speed & agility
Decision making on and off the ball
Technical skills
Injury prevention

What is the football training schedule like?

On average, players train 3 times a week with YWC and 3 times a week with their club team. Some days will involve double sessions. With YWC, training typically takes place in the mornings, while club training is scheduled in the afternoons. This structure ensures that players get the most out of both individual development with YWC and team-oriented sessions with their club.

Are the players filmed during training and matches?

Yes, all players are filmed during training sessions with YWC as well as during their matches with the club team. Additionally, the league matches will be live-streamed, allowing friends, family, and others to watch the games in real-time. This also provides players with an opportunity to review their performances later

The courses offered in Milan are optional, and students can register for these courses if they wish. For more details, please visit the Academics page

Where do students live?

All students will live on the Genova campus, including those who choose to take courses in Milan. Some courses are directly offered on-site in Genova, and these will take place in the classrooms of the Genova campus

How do students reach the practice field with their respective clubs?

YWC staff will take care of ground transportation, using either private shuttles or public transportation, depending on the location.

How do student-athletes reach the practice fields and fitness center when training with YWC?

The football fields and gyms for YWC trainings are just a few meters away from the Genova campus, so they are easily accessible on foot

Where do the students eat?

Inside the campus, there is a cafeteria that offers delicious and fresh Italian food, with three meals a day always guaranteed

How do students who take courses in Milan get to Milan, and how does this affect their practice schedule?

Students typically travel to Milan once a week for their classes, and on that day, there will be no sports activities. The train journey takes just 90 minutes, so they depart in the morning and return before dinner

What type of accommodation is provided for students?

Students are provided with double rooms with an ocean view, located within the campus. Alternatively, off-campus housing is also available in nearby apartments, which are shared with other student-athletes.

Is there support available for students in case of emergencies or everyday issues?

Yes, students have access to 24/7 support for both emergencies and everyday concerns. A dedicated team manager is available at all times to help with any issues, whether urgent or routine

ACADEMICS

What courses are available in the Gap Year program?

The program offers several university-level courses across a variety of fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Business Administration, Communication, History, International Studies, Italian, Law, Management, and Sports Management. Students can take up to 4 courses during the program.

Are the courses internationally recognized?

Yes! All courses are accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education, and the credits earned are fully transferable to universities worldwide, including in the United States.

What language are the courses taught in?

All courses are taught in English, making the program accessible to international students.

Where are the classes held?

Courses with focus on Sport Management are offered in Genoa. The other courses are offered in Milan.

How many credits can I earn?

You can earn up to 24 U.S. transferable credits per year.

Where will I live if I take courses in Milan?

All students live at the Genova campus, even if they take classes in Milan.

Will I have support with course selection and academics?

Yes, the program offers academic advisors and tutors on campus to help students select courses and succeed academically.

How are classes in Milan organized for students living in Genova?

Students live at the Genova campus even if they choose to take courses in Milan. The program provides full logistical support to help students attend Milan-based classes when needed.

Do I have to attend all Milan classes in person?

No, attendance in Milan is generally not mandatory. Most students travel to Milan only once per week, as the program is designed to be flexible. Professors and academic tutors based at the Genova campus support students in following the course content and completing assignments, even if they don’t regularly attend Milan classes.

How often will I need to go to Milan for classes?
