Our Program is designed to allow student-athletes to have access to all the resources and support they need to excel in the classroom, on the field and enjoy Italy.The Genova Campus is the players’ home and offer state-of-the-art athletic facilities, dining, social and study areas, as well as private and functional rooms.

The Genoa Campus

An authentic Italian experience in one of the country’s most scenic coastal neighborhoods.

Collegio Emiliani in Genova-Nervi is the seaside campus for the YWC Soccer Gap Year Program. Located directly on the Ligurian coast, it offers a unique setting that blends learning, training, and cultural immersion.

Where do students live?

All students will live on the Genova campus, including those who choose to take courses in Milan. Some courses are directly offered on-site in Genova, and these will take place in the classrooms of the Genova campus

How do students reach the practice field with their respective clubs?

YWC staff will take care of ground transportation, using either private shuttles or public transportation, depending on the location.

How do student-athletes reach the practice fields and fitness center when training with YWC?

The football fields and gyms for YWC trainings are just a few meters away from the Genova campus, so they are easily accessible on foot

Where do the students eat?

Inside the campus, there is a cafeteria that offers delicious and fresh Italian food, with three meals a day always guaranteed

How do students who take courses in Milan get to Milan, and how does this affect their practice schedule?

Students typically travel to Milan once a week for their classes, and on that day, there will be no sports activities. The train journey takes just 90 minutes, so they depart in the morning and return before dinner

What type of accommodation is provided for students?

Students are provided with double rooms with an ocean view, located within the campus. Alternatively, off-campus housing is also available in nearby apartments, which are shared with other student-athletes.

Is there support available for students in case of emergencies or everyday issues?

Yes, students have access to 24/7 support for both emergencies and everyday concerns. A dedicated team manager is available at all times to help with any issues, whether urgent or routine
