U.D.S. Lavagnese 1919 has announced the signing of Max Harris, a member of the YWC Future 2026-27 group. It is the first signing of the season for our players with a FIGC club in Liguria, and it comes after a trial period the club says he passed “with flying colors.”
Meet Max
Max was born on May 28, 2008, in Girona, Spain, to American parents. He started playing at age four in Girona’s youth academy and grew up at Gironés Sàbat, where he faced the youth teams of Barcelona and Espanyol. At fifteen he moved to the United States, to Oregon: two high school championships, a player of the year award and an age-group title with Oregon Premier FC in the ECNL.
This summer he arrived in Genoa with YWC Future for a year of soccer and study before college. The YWC staff recommended him to Lavagnese sporting director Andrea Croci, and after the tryout Lavagnese decided to bet on him.

His Role
The club’s announcement highlights his “speed, vision and a precise, elegant touch.” Coach Scotto has chosen him as an interior midfielder (mezzala), for his quality on the ball in the build-up and in the final twenty meters.

Why It Matters
Registration with a FIGC club is the heart of the YWC Future year: real training sessions and matches in a federation league, alongside morning sessions with the YWC staff. For a player aiming for American college soccer, it is the difference between a year of preparation and a season worth telling coaches about.
All of YWC wishes Max a season full of success in the black-and-white jersey. Lavagnese’s official announcement is here.
