Four seasons in goal and the captain’s armband. Niccolò Cabras, a goalkeeper from Baunei, Sardinia, celebrated Senior Night with Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri, in the NAIA, and he did it as team captain.
From The Italian Showcase to Missouri
His path to the United States started at The Italian Showcase 2023. A few months later he was already in goal for the Eagles: 13 games and 6 wins in his freshman season. In 2024-25 he did not miss a game, starting all 18, with less than one goal conceded per game and an 81% save percentage.
The numbers
Over four seasons Niccolò has made 61 appearances, 58 of them as a starter, with 214 saves, 24 wins and 13 shutouts.
Senior Night closes a chapter, but the 2026 season is not over yet: Niccolò is living it with the number 1 on his back and the captain’s armband.
Congratulations Niccolò, keep it going.
